Bovada are an online sportsbook who have been catering to the needs of sports betting fans since December 2011. The brand have allowed over 282 million sports bets to be placed in the last five years, and it’s clear that they are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their horse racing odds and football bets.
We’ve seen many examples of a Bovada sports review that has commended the brand for their sports betting service, but the bookmaker also have become one of the most popular casino sites. Recently the brand have even started to introduce their Bovada LoL betting service, so we will take a look at how well this bookmaker caters to the needs of esports betting fans.
So read our in-depth Bovada esports review to see how betting with Bovada could give you a helping hand with your LoL bet predictions.
If you want to get a decent head-start on your League of Legends betting predictions, then you should definitely take advantage of the Bovada welcome bonus deal. This gives all new customers a 50% bonus on your first deposit that is capped at $250.
In order to get this welcome offer, just create your Bovada account, go to the My Rewards page, pick the bonus that you want to redeem and the bonus will be added to your account within 30 minutes of you making your qualifying deposit.
Our Bovada esports review found that the bookmaker have implemented some wagering conditions for their welcome bonus deal. You will need to roll over your deposit at least five times by using the Bovada LoL betting service, although you are free to meet these play-through requirements by using any of the sports betting features, but not the live dealer casino games. All in all, a strong offer from one of the increasingly popular online bookmakers.
It’s fairly common to find that online bookmakers only allow you to place bets on the overall match winner of a League of Legends showdown. But it seems that the Bovada LoL betting experience goes way further as they provide plenty more interesting betting markets for this iconic multiplayer battle arena title.
Depending on which LoL clash you choose, then you can look forward to using your League of Legends betting predictions to wager on anything from the overall match winner, to the victor of individual maps in the game. Some of the larger tournaments like the LPL Spring Split also allow you to place bets on the correct score, first team to draw blood, as well as the first team to destroy the first inhibitor, dragon, baron and tower.
And with the options to try some interesting spread bets, it’s clear that Bovada have put plenty of effort in coming up with some interesting betting markets for your LoL wagering. So be sure to keep checking back to see how many ways you can bet on your favourite LoL teams at this LoL betting site.
All decent betting sites should put on plenty of ways to get in touch with the brand’s customer service team. And our Bovada esports review found that the bookmaker has given you live chat, email and telephone customer support options.
The live chat method is probably the simplest way to get in touch, although there weren’t any details about when this customer support method was operating. There was also an email contact form that could be directed to anything from general customer service to sportsbook-specific enquiries.
Bovada included a telephone number for customer queries, but it looks like it might be a US number that could work out to be fairly expensive. Thankfully, the bookmaker have also created a useful Help section that is full of frequently asked questions regarding everything from betting to deposits and withdrawals.
In order to make a bet at Bovada, you will first need to put some money into your Bovada account. You can do this by logging into your account, and then you need to click on the Deposit button. From here you can select a payment method.
Bovada have a fairly limited selection of payment methods available, but it’s reassuring to find that you can use dependable credit and debit cards like Visa, MasterCard and even American Express for adding funds to your account. In addition to this, Bovada have also allowed customers to use Bitcoin to top up their account balances. You can make deposits between $20 and $1,500 with Visa or MasterCard, and the deposit limits are between $10 and £5,000 for Bitcoin users. It’s a little disappointing to find that Bovada implement a 5.9% transaction fee on all MasterCard and Visa deposits, although the first deposit is free. Bitcoin deposits are free of charge however.
Withdrawals can only by made by Bitcoin or check by courier. Each Bitcoin withdrawal is free each 90 days, but after that Bovada implement a $100 processing fee within the set time period. You can withdraw between $10 and $9,500 using Bitcoin.
We all know how we should never give our money to a bookmaker who doesn’t clearly display their official licensing and regulation. So it’s fairly disturbing to find that Bovada have failed to give us any clear indication of who they are licensed with.
The bookmaker have a section that details why licensing is important to betting sites, and they were recently licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. But at the moment the evidence suggests that Bovada might be operating without a license which means that you might want to treat this betting site with some caution.
However, the Bovada website seems to be very secure as it features SSL encryption which means that your personal details and money should stay in safe hands. But on the whole, we hope to see more effort made by Bovada to clearly display any licensing that they have more clearly in the future.
Bovada have earned a good reputation for providing punters with competitive odds on all manner of sporting events. But does the brand’s strong odds also apply to their League of Legends betting options?
We found that the Bovada LoL odds were certainly able to stand up to some of the larger online betting brands, and they gave us more betting options than you’d expect to find at some sportsbooks.
Whilst the Bovada odds suffered a little on some of the larger LoL tournaments, there was enough here to suggest that esports betting fans could be capable of getting a decent payout on their bets on this classic battle arena game.
The Bovada betting website is colourful, bright and it’s also designed in a way that’s familiar to anybody who has wagered at a sports betting site before. All you need to do to find your League of Legends bets is to click on the sports tab, select the esports option, and then you will see a list of LoL esports bets alongside odds for other esports such as CSGO, Dota 2 and StarCraft II.
The bookmaker have also made it simple to carry out a range of other important tasks with everything from logging in to accessing the customer service features all being intuitively laid out.
Whilst there isn’t a dedicated Bovada betting app, the mobile version of the bookmaker’s website worked reasonably well on the smaller screen of a tablet or smartphone. In addition to this, there was a Bovada Bet Tracker app that could be useful for anybody wishing to keep an eye on their LoL bets.
When we carried out this review of the Bovada betting site, we unfortunately found that the bookmaker didn’t have any in-play bets available for live League of Legends matches.
This isn’t to say that the you won’t find any live esports bets here, but it seems that the bookmaker are more keen to offer in-play bets on traditional sports like basketball, tennis and football.
If you were lucky enough to find Bovada offering in-play bets for League of Legends, then you could use the Quick Bet Mode. This allows you to pre-set your betting stake in order to take advantage of the constantly changing odds. Whilst this is no substitute for the lack of live streaming options, it’s good to find that Bovada have attempted to help us make our in-play bets a little faster.
In the Bovada help section, the bookmaker have included a handy list of all of the betting limits that are relevant to most of the sports featured in their sportsbook. Unfortunately, it seems that Bovada have omitted any betting limits for esports, so we will have to do a bit of guesswork here.
Whilst you can win up to $5,000 on an American football bet, you can only win up to $500 on golfing bets. And so we’d expect the lower limit to apply to your bets on esports like League of Legends.
Despite these betting limits being fairly low, we were glad to find that you could place a bet at Bovada from as little as $1 which should help any new customers make a League of Legends bet without worrying too much.
Bovada have put on a fair selection of League of Legends bets for you to enjoy, but there are plenty of other esports like CSGO, Dota 2 and StarCraft II to wager on here.
The Bovada sportsbook has been getting plenty of attention for its great odds on traditional betting sports like football and horse racing. There is also special emphasis given to US sports like American football, baseball and basketball which is sure to make it a big hit amongst fans of these massive sporting events.
However if you read any Bovada casino review, you’ll quickly see that this bookmaker has a huge selection of slots and table games to enjoy. Whether it’s blackjack or roulette, then we think that you will be impressed with how the live dealers at Bovada are able to help guide you through the gameplay, and don’t forget to check out the awesome poker gaming section either.
Our review of the Bovada betting website found that this bookmaker has a good selection of betting markets for many top League of Legends tournaments. The odds on offer were perfectly competitive, and you should have no problem in wagering on your favourite LoL teams here.
The overall feel of the website was professional and intuitive, and whilst there was no Bovada app, the site could be easily used on a smartphone or tablet.
However, we have to emphasise the fact that we found the lack of licensing on the Bovada website a little disturbing. This doesn’t mean that you should automatically avoid the brand, but it should mean that you should be cautious about laying down your money here.
So hopefully we can expect to see Bovada including details of their licensing in the future so that we can all enjoy making some profitable LoL bets with this increasingly popular bookmaker.
